Champion for Human Rights, Gender Equality and Migration.

Human rights give sense to our lives. We work toward making each life count and join efforts to promote and realise gender-responsive human rights.

Our services

We work hand-in-hand with international organisations, national governments and their ministries, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and other key actors to realise and promote gender-responsive human rights.

Our work is informed by decades of experience in the public and private sectors, academia and civil society.

Diversity is at the core of who we are and what we do. Our team of consultants includes development practitioners, professors, data scientists and human rights champions. From programme design to implementation to policy analysis, we apply our range of local knowledge and global expertise to help our clients achieve inclusive, transformative change.

We envision a world in which all people enjoy and exercise their human rights. Our goal is to equip duty-bearers and rights-holders to achieve this future – be that through policy, strategy, training or action.

Do we share a common vision?

In pursuit of equality

We partner with our clients to promote human rights, gender equality and dignified migration. Saraco works with key actors to make responsible, informed and inclusive decisions to achieve a just and equal future.

Supporting transformation

Our work is grounded in knowledge of specific political, institutional and geographic contexts. From global research programmes and human rights training to country gender analysis, we target both specific actions and enabling environments to create lasting change.

Co-creating change

Saraco provides a range of custom services to our clients.

These include 1) gender & human rights analysis, 2) strategies, policies & action plans, 3) capacity building & training, 4) monitoring & evaluation, 5) organisational development, 6) keynotes & lectures.

We are also committed to advancing knowledge and raising awareness about these key issues: we publish our findings so that others can drive our work forward.

Insights on Equality

How can we promote the universality of human rights?

  • 10/12/2021

On this Human Rights Day, we commemorate the 10th of December 1948, when the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). We stress, year after year, the universality of human rights. How can we strengthen our efforts, close the gap and leave no one behind?

Raising our voices during the International Intersex Awareness Day

  • 26/10/2021

Today is International Intersex Awareness Day. Each year on the 26th of October, we raise awareness for the rights of intersex persons and fight against the human rights violations they experience during their lifetimes, often beginning at birth.

International Women’s Day 2021: Women’s leadership is essential to ‘build back better’ during and after COVID-19

  • 08/03/2021

The month of March is increasingly the time of year when global feminist movements take stock – of recent successes, of historical anniversaries, of continuing barriers to equality and the emergence of new challenges.

What project shall we launch together?

Let's get started!

”If you would like to work with a committed, inspiring, energetic and very knowledgably expert, I recommend you to work with Saskia Ravesloot.
